1. What This Website Is

This is a privately operated reference site with no affiliation to a public office. It does not hold official criminal records, submit filings, retrieve certified documents, or conduct official background checks for a visitor.

Its content identifies Washington County and Oregon record custodians, such as the sheriff, Oregon Judicial Department courts, Oregon State Police CJIS, and the Oregon Sex Offender Registry. Public access remains subject to the Oregon Public Records Law and the criminal-history disclosure limits in ORS Chapter 181A. Some pages also display research tools run by outside providers.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use of the site is conditioned on an agreement not to:

• Use automated bots, scrapers, or similar collection tools on these pages
• Attempt unauthorized entry into any account, server, or system
• Interfere with site operation or another visitor's access
• Use information to harass, stalk, intimidate, or threaten a person
• Rely on site content for hiring, housing, credit, or insurance decisions
• Violate any applicable federal, Oregon, or local law

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Neither site content nor a linked result may be used for harassment, stalking, threats, intimidation, or unlawful discrimination. The Oregon Sex Offender Registry includes its own anti-harassment warning, and ORS Chapter 163A governs registration, classification, disclosure, and relief. Registry disclosure serves public safety and does not authorize confrontation, vigilantism, or misuse.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Washington County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not produce consumer reports, credit reports, or official background checks. Its advertising partners likewise do not provide site tools for applicant screening, rental decisions, insurance pricing, or credit evaluation. Information from the site or a linked tool must not be used to:

• Decide whether to hire or fire someone
• Screen potential renters or housing applicants
• Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
• Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
• Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

When the law requires a regulated check, it must be obtained through an authorized official process or an FCRA-compliant screening provider.

5. No Legal Advice

General explanations about Washington County records do not constitute legal advice. Advice on how an Oregon charge, conviction, warrant, or ORS 137.225 motion to set aside applies to specific facts must come from a licensed attorney.

6. No Warranties

All site content is supplied "as is." No warranty is made that:

• The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
• The site will stay up and running without interruptions
• Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
• Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Criminal records can change when charges are filed or dismissed and when an Oregon court restricts or sets aside a record. Updates may lag or remain incomplete. Site content is never an official statement from the Washington County Sheriff, an Oregon court, OSP CJIS, or another public agency.

We are not responsible for their availability, prices, privacy practices, terms, or content. Review the destination's rules before using it.

The text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Washington County Criminal History or the applicable content partner. Prior written permission is required to copy, alter, distribute, or create derivative material.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim liability for damages arising from site use, including reliance on information obtained here or from a linked service.

10. Indemnification
