An Arrest Is Not a Conviction
An arrest establishes neither guilt nor conviction. The prosecutor may reject or revise a booking charge, and a court may dismiss a filed count or enter an acquittal. Oregon records can later be corrected or set aside under ORS 137.225. An older copy may therefore fail to show current status. Check the disposition with the filing court and compare any related sheriff or OSP CJIS record.
